Indiana has been in regular communication with class of 2025 4-star wing Hudson Greer for a while.
On Wednesday he told 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins IU is one of the schools he’d like to visit.
The 6-foot-6 Greer attends Lake Travis H.S. in Austin, Texas. For spring and summer basketball, he plays for Texas-based ProSkills on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He dealt with injuries during most of the spring, but averaged 14.5 points on 78 percent shooting from the field during the Dallas session of the EYBL.
Greer is regarded as a high level slasher who can get to and finish at the rim, and he is a good 3-point shooter as well. On3’s Jamie Shaw said Greer was one of the standouts at the Pangos All-American Camp a few weeks ago.
“His ability at the rim was part of the reason why he shot 62 percent from the field in the camp,” Shaw wrote. “The other part of that was that he also shot over 40 percent from three.”
According to the 247Sports Composite, Greer is the No. 42 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 8 small forward.
To this point, Indiana has not offered Greer. He has high major offers from Alabama, Auburn, California, Creighton, Iowa, Kansas State, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, UCLA, and USC.
Greer’s father is Josh Greer, who played at St. Mary’s from 1996-2000. Josh started 67 games and scored 895 career points for the Gaels.
