One of the top perimeter shooters in the 2026 class will be in Bloomington this weekend.
Owasso, Oklahoma based small forward Jalen Montonati will be visiting Indiana when the Hoosiers face Northwestern on Sunday afternoon, The Daily Hoosier can confirm.
According to the On3 Industry Average, Montonati is the No. 7 overall player in the 2026 class and the No. 4 small forward. Two national outlets consider him a 5-star prospect.
Playing with the MoKan Elite squad on Nike’s EYBL 15U Circuit, he averaged 18.3 points and shot 46.6 percent from three this summer.
The 6-foot-7 Montonati earned a spot on the USA Basketball U16 Team that won a gold medal in the FIBA Americas Championships over the summer. He averaged 7.2 points in 13.6 minutes per game, shooting 40.9 percent from three on almost four attempts per game.
Montonati’s dad, Brian Montonati, played at Oklahoma State under coach Eddie Sutton.
So far, Montonati claims offers from Kansas, Tennessee, Texas, Michigan, Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Tulsa, and Oklahoma State.
Montonati is a player who has been on Indiana’s radar for a while. It won’t come as a surprise if they add to his list of offers this weekend.
