One of the top players in the Midwest in the class of 2021 is Fort Wayne’s Caleb Furst.
Furst, who attends Blackhawk Christian School, is ranked as the No. 33 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite and the number two player in the state of Indiana.
Indiana offered the 6-foot-9 forward a scholarship in October. Furst has been to Bloomington on multiple occasions and he attended a game in February against Ohio State.
For his sophomore season, Furst averaged 19.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
Blackhawk won the 2019 Class 1A Indiana state championship, and Furst scored 16 points and added 10 rebounds and five blocks in the title game.
Furst plays up a year with the U17 Indy Heat on the Nike EYBL Circuit. That team will be competing in the Peach Jam next week in Georgia.
Blackhawk Christian competed at the annual Charlie Hughes Classic last weekend in the north side suburbs of Indianapolis.
