Next year’s IU basketball schedule continues to trickle out. 28 of the 31 games are now known after the University of North Alabama’s release of its schedule today.
Indiana will host the Lions on November 12 in Bloomington at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
Based in Florence, Alabama, the Lions are a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 10-22 last year and ended the campaign ranked No. 284 nationally according to KenPom.
North Alabama moved to NCAA Division One athletics in 2018. Indiana has never faced the Lions in basketball.
North Alabama’s head coach is Tony Pujol. The 2018-19 season was his first leading the program.
The Lions will return last season’s Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year in Jamari Blackmon (14.6 ppg).
Pujol is just the seventh head coach in the 88-year history of the UNA men’s basketball program.
The Lions were a Division II powerhouse with 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, eight regional championships, five Final Fours and two national championships.
The complete 2019-20 IU men’s basketball schedule with times and television information should be released in the next week or two.
