Indiana’s pursuit of one of the top players in the class of 2024 continued on Wednesday evening.
According to multiple reports, IU assistant coach Kenya Hunter traveled down to the John Wall Holiday Invitational in Raleigh, N.C. to watch 5-star guard Dylan Harper and other prospects.
According to Adam Zagoria, the 6-foot-5 Don Boscoe Prep (N.J.) combo guard had 24 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists in a 74-52 win with Hunter watching.
Harper took an official visit to IU in November. That followed a visit to his high school by the IU staff. Also a primary Rutgers target, Harper was a guest of the Scarlet Knights when they defeated IU earlier this month. Harper is the younger brother of former Rutgers star Ron Harper, Jr., who is currently with the Toronto Raptors on a two-way contract.
Hunter had company in Raleigh. Duke’s entire staff made the short drive from Durham to watch Harper.

Duke, Rutgers and Indiana seem to make up Harper’s main schools. Those are the three visits he has taken to this point, but it’s obviously still relatively early for the high school junior. He also has offers from Kansas, Michigan, Auburn, and others.
One reporter from the Duke 247Sports site made a prediction for the Blue Devils following Wednesday’s evening’s appearance by the full staff.
According to 247Sports Composite, Harper is a 5-star prospect and the No. 8 overall player in the 2024 class.
The Daily Hoosier was the only IU outlet to catch up Harper down at Peach Jam this summer when it became clear Indiana was making him a priority. Here’s that report:
