Next up is Drexel center Amari Williams.
The 6-foot-10 and 265-pound Williams was named the Coastal Athletic Association’s Defensive Player of the Year for a record third time. Williams was also named to the CAA’s First Team for the second straight season in a vote by the league’s coaches.
The senior from Nottingham, England led the CAA in blocked shots for the third straight season averaging 1.8 per game. Williams averaged 12.3 points per game and 7.8 rebounds this season, which was fifth in the league. He shot 52.1% from the field and 65.5% percent from the free throw line. Williams has not shot a lot of threes during his college career. He’s made 8-of-26 (31%) for his career.
Williams has played the last four years at Drexel and should have one year of eligibility remaining. His fourth season highlights are below.
