As Indiana shows interest in transfer portal prospects we’ll provide a quick profile with our transfer portal names to know series.
Of course we’ll cover prospects more if things progress beyond initial interest.
First up is 6-foot-1 Penn graduate transfer guard Clark Slajchert.
Clark Slajchert was voted second-team All-Ivy by the conference coaches. He finished second among Ivy League players and tops on the team in scoring average (18.0 ppg) and was also second players in three-point field goals per game (2.6) and sixth in 3FG percentage (.422).
Despite missing essentially eight games this season—he was injured (ankle) early in Penn’s game at Houston on December 30 and missed the next seven games after that—Slajchert was second on the team in assists (63), second with 37 treys, and tied for second with 26 steals.
The senior guard reached the 1,000-point mark for his three-year career in Penn’s second-to-last game, against Columbia, and finished his Quakers career with 1,030 points which is 42nd on the program’s all-time scoring list. He reached the 1,000-point mark in his 73rd collegiate game, tied for 18th fastest in program history.
In addition to his second-team All-Ivy honor, Slajchert also received Academic All-Ivy recognition.
In 2020, Slajchert’s freshman season was canceled due to COVID-19.
