Stetson transfer guard Jalen Blackmon is from Marion, Ind., and the younger brother of former IU star James Blackmon, Jr. and walk-on Vijay Blackmon.
The 6-foot-3 Blackmon was named First-Team All-ASUN Conference for the second straight season after averaging a career-high 21.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He shot 42.8% from the field overall and 38.1% from the three-point line.
He helped lead Stetson to the program’s first ASUN Championship and first appearance in the NCAA Tournament, named MVP of the ASUN Tournament In the ASUN championship game that sent Stetson to the NCAA Tournament, Blackmon scored a career high 43 points, going 12-22 from the field, 5-9 from three and 14-17 from the free throw line.
Blackmon is the son of former Kentucky player James Blackmon, Sr.
After starting his career at Grand Canyon, Blackmon played the last two seasons at Stetson. He should have one year of eligibility remaining. His junior season highlights are below.
