The names to know keep rolling in.
Here are three new transfer portal prospects Indiana has been connected to via various reports this week.
Alex Chaikin (Lafayette)
As a true freshman the 6-foot-5 Chaikin (pictured above) was the third-best 3-point shooter in all of college basketball, making 47.9% from long range on more than five attempts per game. He was No. 27 nationally in effective field goal percentage (63%). The Virginia product started 19 times in 32 games at Lafayette this season and played 26.5 minutes per game on his way to being named to the All-Patriot League team. He shot 49.8% from the floor and was 80-for-167 from the 3-point line.
Liutauras Lelevicius (Oregon State)
A 6-foot-7 and 217-pound wing from Lithuania, in 2024-25 he averaged 8.7 points and 4.0 rebounds over 26.8 minutes for the Beavers in his first college season. Lelevicius shot 47.8% overall and 37.9% from three. He previously played for Lietkabelis in the top Lithuanian professional league. He also competed for Lithuania at the 2023 FIBA U20 European Championships, averaging 17.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
Payton Marshall (Missouri)
The 7-foot and 300-pound Marshall was a player the former IU staff recruited some as a high school prospect. He saw limited action in his freshman season at Missouri, averaging 1.0 point and 1.1 rebounds in 4.3 minutes. He was a four-star prospect in the Class of 2024 and ranked as the No 100-overall prospect by 247Sports’ composite recruiting rankings.
