    SENIOR DAY

Indiana did not release a list of the players who will be recognized in connection with the program’s senior day.  Like all teams, IU has regular seniors, redshirt seniors and super seniors (e.g. guys only playing this season because of the grant of an extra year of eligibility due to the pandemic).  Indiana has 31 players in those categories, along with juniors who have or will graduate during this academic year.  Head coach Tom Allen suggested that as many as 36 players may be recognized on Saturday, although that number is fluid, and many of those players could return to the program in 2022.

This is what head coach Tom Allen said this week about that group.

“A lot of quality young men, without question. A lot of really good players and guys that are special to me because they came here and believed in what we could build before it happened on the field. We really had a chance to recruit these guys and help develop them and be a part of their lives. You will miss the relationships, the daily contact with them and being around them. It is just a lot of really high-quality guys that I have poured my heart in to, and they have poured their hearts into this program. It is pretty special, but that is why we are going to enjoy every step of these last few times together and make sure we don’t take any of this for granted.”  — TOM ALLEN

    PREDICTION

Indiana has done nothing in recent weeks to suggest they can right the ship.

Minnesota has a good defense, and that’s bad news for IU’s inept offense.

    The misery continues.

    INDIANA 10

    MINNESOTA 27
