The 6-foot and 200-pound Martin is a 3-star prospect and the No. 135 running back in the class according to the On3 Industry Average. 247Sports says Martin is the No. 60 running back in the 2024 class.
According to his MaxPreps page, Martin has 768 yards on 105 carries (7.3 ypc) and 12 touchdowns for Fishers through five games this season. Those numbers include a 285-yard performance against rival Hamilton Southeastern. Martin finished his junior year with 1,194 yards rushing (7.2 average) and 16 touchdowns.
Martin recently decommitted from Miami (Ohio), soon after Indiana offered on Sept. 14. That set the stage for today’s news.
IU has been in contact with Martin since an All-State junior season and impressive performances at camps this spring. He visited IU in March and again for the Ohio State game on Sept. 2.
Prior to IU, Martin’s offers were from the Group of Five conference schools. He had interest from programs like Iowa, Iowa State, Boston College, Coastal Carolina, and others.
Indiana now has 18 commits in the 2024 class. Martin is the fourth player from Indiana in that group of high school seniors.
