Indiana landed a second offensive weapon from the ACC on Friday when Wake Forest transfer running back Christian Turner announced he will attend Indiana.
Turner broke the news on his social media accounts.
Listed at 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds, Turner started his career at Michigan where he played the 2018 and 2019 seasons before transferring to Wake Forest.
The Buford, Ga. product carried the ball 254 times for 1,022 yards (4.0 yards per carry) and 12 touchdowns over the last two seasons for the Demon Deacons. He added nine catches for 68 yards and a score over that span while splitting the running back duties.
Turner is a graduate transfer with one season of eligibility remaining.
As a high school prospect Turner was named a 247Sports three-star prospect, rated the No. 37 running back and No. 60 overall player in Georgia. He also held offers from Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Virginia Tech, among others.
Turner will join Josh Henderson and Jaylin Lucas as the expected frontrunners for carries in the IU backfield in 2023.
Earlier in the day on Friday, Clemson transfer wideout E.J. Williams announced he was headed to Indiana.
