Indiana bolstered its defensive line on Sunday with a pair of transfer tackles from Ole Miss.
Former Rebels Patrick Lucas and LeDarrius Cox visited Bloomington over the weekend and both announced their commitment to Indiana this afternoon.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 320 pounds, Lucas was a unanimous 3-star prospect in the class of 2019 according to the major recruiting outlets. He was the No. 15 prospect in Alabama, and the No. 25 defensive tackle in the nation (247Sports). He played in four games and was redshirted in 2019. A Prattville Ala. native, Lucas appeared in seven games as a reserve defensive tackle and registered three tackles in 2020.
The 6-foot-4 and 315 pound Cox was a unanimous three-star recruit by all major recruiting services in the class of 2019. He was ranked the 39th best defensive tackle in the 2019 class by Rivals. He competed in three games in 2019 and was redshirted. He played in all 10 contests in 2020. The Mobile, Ala. native has registered five tackles and a fumble recovery for his career.
The pair are the third and fourth transfers from Ole Miss in the last year, following Ryder Anderson and Jonathan Haynes.
Indiana also picked up a commitment from Miami, Fla. transfer linebacker Bradley Jennings on Sunday.
