Indiana made two more roster additions on Monday when brothers Kobee and Darryl Minor announced their commitments to IU within minutes of each other.
The brothers visited IU earlier this month.
The 6-foot and 185-pound Kobee has been at Texas Tech for three seasons and should have two years of eligibility remaining. He appeared in 23 games there on special teams and as a defensive back, and had 13 tackles and two pass break-ups.
Listed as a 6-foot and 223 pound linebacker, Darryl went into the portal last month and got an offer from Indiana in early January. IU will be his fifth stop after brief stints at Abilene Christian, Texas Tech, Tyler C.C., and UTEP. He appeared in three games for UTEP in 2022.
Prior to UTEP, Darryl played at Tyler College. He played in all 12 games there in 2021, and had 90 tackles (50 solo), ranking second on the defense. He tallied 3.5 sacks (39 yards) 21.0 tackles for loss (58 yards) a forced fumble three pass breakups.
The brothers attended Lake Dallas High School in Lake Dallas, Texas
Kobee was rated as a three-star prospect according to 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals. He was listed as the No. 71 safety in the 2020 class according to ESPN and chose Texas Tech over Cal, Iowa State, Kansas, Houston, Tulsa, Tulane, Southern Miss, Texas State.
Darryl did not show up in the national rankings out of high school.
Their father played football at Oregon State.
