Indiana added a second running back in as many days as North Carolina transfer Josh Henderson announced he will play in Bloomington in 2022.
“100% Committed! Excited to be a Hoosier!” Henderson wrote in a Twitter post on Sunday afternoon.
The 5-foot-11 and 215 pound Henderson appeared in 23 games over three seasons at UNC. He ran the ball 41 times for 209 yards (5.1 per carry) over his career in Chapel Hill. Due to the 2020 season not counting against eligibility, he should have two years of eligibility remaining with IU, with a possible third since he only played in three games in 2021 before entering the portal in October.
Out of high school, Henderson was a three-star prospect ranked the No. 13 player in the state of New Jersey and the No. 37 overall running back in the country by the 247Sports Composite.
