While Indiana’s home loss to Michigan wasn’t the outcome Hoosiers fans were looking for, the complete Big Ten environment in Bloomington on Saturday was all that Vinny Sciury needed to see.
Previously committed to Toledo, the Massillon, Ohio product has announced that he has flipped his commitment to IU.
“Aw, dude, I’ve got to be a part of this,” Sciury told the Canton Repository after visiting Indiana over the weekend.
A 6-foot-4, 300 pound guard, Sciury is a three-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite and the No. 107 guard in the 2020 class according to that same service.
Attending Perry High School in Stark County, Sciury plans to graduate early and enroll in IU in January according to the Canton Repository report.
He originally chose Toledo over offers from Kent, Bowling Green and Ohio.
Sciury becomes the 14th scholarship commit for Indiana’s 2020 class. He is number 71 in the video below.
