The class of 2020 commitments are rolling in for Indiana — and they are coming from all over the country.
Tampa, Fla. area defensive back Aamaris Brown verbally committed to IU today, becoming the ninth overall commit in the 2020 class, and the third in the last two days for the Hoosiers.
Brown’s decision comes after recruiting targets from Michigan and Georgia committed to Indiana yesterday.
After an official visit to Bloomington last week, Brown announced his decision on Twitter today:

Brown hails from Armwood High School, the same program that produced current IU linebacker James Miller, continuing a long run of success for IU head coach Tom Allen in the Tampa area.
The 6-foot, 190 pound Brown is a 3-star recruit according to 247Sports.
A big physical defensive back, Brown might project to the hybrid husky position in IU’s 4-2-5 scheme. Brown’s high school program runs a similar defense according to a Rivals report.

As a junior, Brown was a member of the Tampa Bay Times’ all-Hillsborough County team. According to MaxPreps, Brown had 30 tackles, seven interceptions and two touchdowns for the 2018 season. He runs a 4.62 40-yard dash according to his Hudl profile.
Brown had offers from several other power five conference schools including Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Iowa State, Kansas State, Maryland and Minnesota.
