It didn’t take long for Jacksonville, Fla. defensive back Larry Smith to pick Indiana.
Just a few weeks after the Hoosiers offered a scholarship, Smith has verbally committed to play for IU.
The 5-foot-11, 170 pound Smith announced his decision on his Twitter page on Friday.

Ranked No. 529 nationally according to the 247Sports Composite and the No. 34 safety, Smith is a higher tier three-star recruit. According to Rivals Smith is a four-star recruit
Smith led his Lee High School team with five interceptions and added 52 tackles on the season. He made the Class 6A first team all-state.
While he plays safety in high school, Smith could be a cornerback at Indiana.
Smith’s list of offers included Duke, North Carolina and Ole Miss. Purdue was also involved.
