Indiana continues to produce a strong in-state group of commits in the class of 2021.
Brownsburg, Ind. offensive tackle Joshua Sales became the fifth Indiana based product in the class to verbally pledge to IU when he announced his commitment on Saturday. Sales broke the news on his Twitter page.

Sales recently told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong what he liked about the IU program.
“I really like the culture of Indiana,” Sales told 247Sports. “It also helps being close to home and me having visited a couple times. On top of that the coaching staff there is amazing, Coach (Tom) Allen is definitely doing something with his program. I really like the strength and conditioning program they have there.”
The 6-foot-6 and 300 pound Sales is tabbed by the 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 44 offensive tackle in the class of 2021. A three-star recruit, Sales is ranked as the No. 517 player overall as of this writing.
Sales is originally from South Bend but moved to Brownsburg in 2019.
Kansas, Michigan State, Nebraska, Arizona State and Purdue were the other top contenders in Sales’ recruitment.
Sales becomes commit number 12 overall for Indiana in the 2021 class and the second offensive lineman.
The Daily Hoosier is also monitoring the announcement later today by Virginia safety Maurice Freeman at 4 p.m. ET.
