Indiana picked up a commitment from Florida based safety Phillip Dunnam on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-1 and 180 pound Dunnam attends North Miami Beach High School in Miami, Fla.
Dunnam made the announcement on his social media pages.
“I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and football career at Indiana University,” Dunnam wrote in a graphic attached to his Twitter post. “I want to thank my family for all their sacrifices, as well as my coaches and teammates for all of their support throughout this process.”
A Miami Herald All-Dade 5A-Ind. first-team selection as an athlete, Dunnam saw snaps at both receiver and cornerback for North Miami Beach in 2020 according to his 247Sports profile page. Dunnam caught 42 passes for 710 yards and 10 touchdowns in seven games for a North Miami Beach squad that played for a South Florida 6A-1A tri-county title. He also intercepted three passes on defense.
Dunnam is not currently ranked by the recruiting services, although Rivals recently labeled him a 3-star recruit.
He chose Indiana over offers from Florida State, Tennessee, Syracuse, and several others.
