Class of 2024 tackle Austin Leibfried announced his commitment to Indiana on his Twitter page on Friday afternoon.
The 6-foot-6 and 265-pound Leibfried attends Mount Horeb H.S. in Mount Horeb, Wis. He’s a 3-star according to 247Sports, and the No. 84 offensive tackle in the class according to that outlet. Leibfried took an official visit to IU in June.
In addition to Indiana, Leibfried had an offer from Syracuse from the Power Five ranks, along with more than a dozen Group of Five FBS offers. He also plays basketball at Mount Horeb.
Leibfried is Indiana’s 16th high school commit in the 2024 class, and the fourth offensive lineman to commit in the rising senior class under new position coach Bob Bostad, who used to coach at Wisconsin.
