Indiana locked up its quarterback for the class of 2022.
Rockwall, Texas based incoming senior signal caller Josh Hoover announced his commitment to Indiana on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-1 and 206 pound Hoover passed for 3,556 yards, 36 touchdowns and 12 interceptions with a 63% completion rate for his 2020 junior season with Rockwall-Heath.
Hoover is a 3-star recruit and ranked No. 528 overall in the class of 2022 according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 36 overall quarterback in the class according to that same service.
A two sport athlete in football and baseball, Hoover was named the District 10-6A Offensive MVP in 2020. His father is former Colorado State and NFL linebacker Alex Hoover.
Hoover made an official visit to IU earlier in the week. He picked Indiana over Memphis, SMU, Tulsa, Arkansas, Houston and several other programs that offered.
With Hoover’s commitment Indiana now has six players who have verbally agreed to join the program. Hoover is the first player on the offensive side of the football. For more on Indiana’s 2022 class, GO HERE.
