Indiana picked up a commitment from class of 2024 tight end Hubert Caliste on Tuesday afternoon.
The 3-star prospect from New Orleans is ranked the No. 59 tight end nationally according to the On3 Industry Average.
Caliste took an official visit to IU earlier this month and announced his commitment on his Twitter page.
“Indiana checked off every box for me,” Caliste told On3. “Everything felt right.”
“It felt like the right fit as far as developing me as a man and also preparing me for life. That’s really what stood out the most,” he added.
The St. Augustine H.S. product also had offers from Florida State, Nebraska, Georgia Tech and several Group of Five programs. He had previously said publicly that FSU was his top choice.
Caliste joins Michigan-based Brody Kosin as IU’s second tight end commit in the 2024 class.
The 6-foot-4 and 235-pound Caliste’s father is Hubert Caliste, a former San Diego State defensive back.
Caliste’s junior season highlights are below. He also plays on his school’s basketball team.
