Indiana has added another veteran to its stable of incoming offensive linemen in the 2020 recruiting class.
California junior college transfer Luke Haggard announced today that he has committed to play for Indiana.
I'm excited to announce I've committed to play football for Indiana University!!
I'd like to thank family and friends and especially my parents for believing in me. And I would like to thank all my coaches through the years who supported me. Go Hoosiers!! pic.twitter.com/bWCHCj5k1d— Luke Haggard (@Lukeduke150) December 18, 2019
Haggard made it official and signed with IU soon after his announcement.
In the JUCO rankings, Haggard is rated as the No. 83 overall prospect and the No. 12 offensive tackle according to the 247Sports Composite. Coming to IU from Santa Rosa College, Haggard will be immediately eligible and will have two years remaining.
A 6-foot-7 and 270 pound tackle, Haggard will have the chance to compete for playing time behind Caleb Jones and Matthew Bedford next year if he can add weight to his frame. He becomes the sixth offensive lineman to commit to Indiana in the class of 2020, including four high school seniors and Stanford graduate transfer Dylan Powell.
Hailing from Petaluma, California, Haggard had offers from UConn, Fresno State, Oregon State, Nevada, and others.
