Indiana is slated to get a visit this week from transfer linebacker Darius Thomas, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported.
Thomas spent his first three seasons at Western Kentucky, and in December entered the transfer portal and committed to Louisville. He has been there this semester and went through spring football with the Cardinals before entering the transfer portal again last week.
The 6-foot-2 and 212 pound Thomas is also visiting Oklahoma State and West Virginia.
As a redshirt sophomore in 2024, Thomas started all 13 games for the Hilltoppers. The linebacker finished sixth on the team in total tackles with 54, and he had 6.5 tackles for loss and a team-high four sacks. Thomas also posted three quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Thomas was named 2024 All-CUSA Honorable Mention Defense (LB) and 2024 Phil Steele Postseason CUSA All-Conference Fourth Team Defense (LB).
At WKU, Thomas was a teammate of IU defensive lineman Hosea Wheeler.
As a true freshman in 2022, Thomas appeared in eight games and posted nine tackles. He missed the entire 2023 season due to injury.
He should have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Thomas was a 3-star out of Miramar H.S. in Florida as a high school prospect. He chose WKU over an offer list that included Colorado, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Georgia, Texas A&M and Toledo.
