IU football returned to the top 10 for the first time since 2020 following their 47-10 win over Michigan State on Saturday.
The Hoosiers (9-0) are No. 10 in the new coaches poll released Sunday afternoon. Indiana still trails No. 1 Oregon, along with one-loss Ohio State (No. 3) and Penn State (No. 7) from the Big Ten. Those are the only four teams from the league ranked after Illinois dropped out.
In the AP poll released later on Sunday, Indiana is No. 8.
After a 6-1 start, IU moved up to as high as No. 7 in the AP poll late in the 2020 season. Their all-time best ranking is No. 4, in both 1967 and 1945. The Hoosiers are 9-0 for the first time in program history.
Indiana is also No. 10 in ESPN’s updated Football Power Index following Saturday’s action.
The College Football Playoff will release their first poll on Tuesday.
No. 8/10 Indiana returns to action Saturday against Michigan (5-4) at sold out Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS).
