Indiana will have Kamaras on two levels of their defense in 2025.
The program announced Wednesday morning the signing of linebacker Amari Kamara, the younger brother of All-American edge rusher Mikail Kamara.
Amari attends Stonebridge H.S. in Ashburn, Va. and is around 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds according to his X profile. His MaxPreps page says 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds.
He visited IU in November when the Hoosiers hosted Michigan, and also camped in Bloomington over the summer.
Like his brother, Amari was not heavily recruited out of high school. He is not listed on the national recruiting sites. Amari has reported offers from Hampden-Sydney College and Averett University.
Amari was named All-Region 5D second-team defensive all-purpose following the 2024 season.
His senior season highlights are below. He had 104 tackles, two sacks, and and a tackle for loss in 2024.
