Indiana football tight end Peyton Hendershot was arrested on multiple charges on Saturday night.
According to a Bloomington Police Report, Hendershot was booked on charges including misdemeanor domestic battery, felony residential entry, criminal mischief and criminal conversion.
Hendershot, a former Tri-West standout from North Salem, Ind. also was booked into Monroe County Jail on Saturday night, with bond set at $2,000.
Indiana released a statement Sunday acknowledging the charges against Hendershot:
“IU Athletics will continue to gather facts, cooperate with and monitor the legal and administrative processes and take further action as the evolving situation warrants.”
Hendershot earned third-team All-Big Ten honors in 2019 and set an IU receiving record for tight ends last season with 52 catches. He added 622 yards and four touchdowns.
