Indiana enters the 2022 season with little doubt about who will start at cornerback this fall.
Program veterans and leaders Tiawan Mullen and Jaylin Williams return to form a dynamic duo of anchors on the edge.
Cornerbacks coach Brandon Shelby enters his 12th season at Indiana in 2022. He was named assistant head coach on March 8, 2021. Beyond Mullen and Williams, Shelby will need to develop six young and inexperienced players, some of who must be ready to play this year.
Mullen will be a limited participant at spring practice as he continues to rehab a lower body injury. Chris Keys was in the rotation last year before a season-ending knee injury. Mullen’s brother Trevell is a 4-star recruit who is not with the program until the summer. He’ll look to follow in his Tiawan’s footsteps and contribute as a true freshman.
Here is an overview of who has come and gone in the cornerback room. Stay tuned for more updates by position.
