Indiana men’s basketball has announced its full non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season.
The Hoosiers have locked in an 11-game slate, with eight of the contests at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and no true road games.
“My staff and I put together a non-conference schedule that will lead to long-term success this season,” head coach Mike Woodson said in IU’s press release announcing the schedule. “We have a new team this year that we are excited to showcase in front of the sold-out crowds in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. We will be tested by some veteran, well-coached ball clubs early in the season that will prepare us for a 20-game conference schedule. We are looking forward to playing in one of the best in-season tournaments in our game in the Battle 4 Atlantis. The matchups, no matter how they fall, will create a great test for our team.”
Indiana opens the regular season on Nov. 6 against SIU-Edwardsville at home, and then hosts Eastern Illinois four days later.
IU’s marquee home game in the non-conference slate is against South Carolina on Nov. 16. The Gamecocks earned an at-large bid to last season’s NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 seed. The Hoosiers then face UNC Greensboro on Nov. 21 at Assembly Hall, in the last game before Thanksgiving break.
The holiday week will see IU compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis, from Nov. 27 to 29. Indiana will play three games at Imperial Arena, and is joined in the event by Arizona, Davidson, Gonzaga, Louisville, Oklahoma, Providence, and West Virginia.
IU returns to Bloomington after that for home games against Sam Houston State (Dec. 3) and Miami (Ohio) (Dec. 6). The Hoosiers will then open conference play against to-be-determined opponents in mid-December. IU wraps up non-conference play against UT-Chattanooga on Dec. 21 and Winthrop on Dec. 28.
