Indiana enters their biggest week of the nonconference schedule ranked No. 14 in the new AP top-25 released Monday afternoon.
The Hoosiers moved up two spots from last week and sit just behind No. 13 Purdue for the best ranking in the Big Ten. Wisconsin is No. 15 and the only other ranked Big Ten program this week.
No. 14 is IU’s best ranking in the AP poll since February of 2023. The Hoosiers are No. 15 in the new coaches poll.
IU is in The Bahamas this week where they’ll face an unranked Louisville squad first, followed by a game against either No. 3 Gonzaga or unranked West Virginia. No. 24 Arizona, Providence (receiving votes) and unranked Davidson and Oklahoma sit on the other side of the bracket as potential third opponents.
IU tips at Noon ET Wednesday against Louisville at the Atlantis Resort.
The IU women started the season ranked but stopped receiving votes after losses to Harvard and Butler. But with wins over previous ranked Baylor and Stanford squads, Indiana is back in the receiving votes category. They’re effectively No. 31 in the new poll. The Hoosiers were playing in the Battle 4 Atlantis final against No. 16 North Carolina at the time of publication.
