IU men’s soccer is expected to remain one of the nation’s best in 2024.
Indiana is ranked No. 7 in the preseason NCAA United Soccer Coaches Top-25.
The Hoosiers are just one of two teams from the 18-team Big Ten ranked in the top-25, or even receiving votes. And the Hoosiers are the top team in the league by a meaningful margin. UCLA is ranked No. 21.
The program opened its 2024 preseason Wednesday morning with its first training session. Head coach Todd Yeagley is kicking off his 15th season in that role.
The Hoosiers are coming off an Elite Eight run in 2023. Indiana claimed a share of the Big Ten regular season crown and won the Big Ten Tournament a season ago. That marked the 12th Big Ten Championship double and its fourth double in the last six years, meaning the Hoosiers have won eight of the last 12 available Big Ten titles.
Indiana opens the 2024 campaign with a road matchup at Saint Louis on August 23. Prior to that, Indiana will travel for exhibition matches against Bowling Green (Aug. 13 in Westfield, Ind.) – and Louisville (Aug. 17).
IU’s first home contest comes Aug. 29 against No. 2-ranked Notre Dame, a rematch of the 2023 Elite Eight match. You can find the full schedule below:
