Indiana is on yet another magical postseason run.
The Hoosiers defeated No. 7 seed Virginia 1-0 in Charlottesville on Sunday afternoon to advance to the Elite Eight of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Indiana has now reached an NCAA best 29 Elite Eights.
The Hoosiers struck early for game’s lone score, as Maouloune Goumballe found Collins Oduro in front of the goal for a clean strike in the 11th minute.

With his assist to Oduro, Goumballe has tallied a goal contribution (five goals, three assists) in each of his last eight matches. Oduro tallied goal No. 5 of his freshman campaign. He has scored twice in three NCAA Tournament matches.
The win marked the 200th in the career of head coach Todd Yeagley. And it was some small measure of revenge, after Yeagley lost to the Cavs in the national championship match during his senior year at IU.
The Hoosiers will face the winner of Western Michigan and Notre Dame in Elite Eight. In either case IU will play on the road.
