Indiana Softball earned an NCAA Tournament bid for the second consecutive season on Sunday night as announced on the NCAA Softball Tournament Selection Show.
The Hoosiers will be the No. 3 Seed in the Columbia Regional. The regional will take place from May 17-19 at the University of Missouri. Missouri is the No. 7 overall seed in the tournament.
Indiana will play against No. 2 seed Washington in their first game of the regional while No. 1 seed Missouri will start with No. 4 seed Omaha.
According to the ESPN Selection Show, Indiana was one of the final four teams in the 64-team field.
Indiana enters the postseason with a 40-18 record and was the runner-up in the Big Ten Tournament, marking back-to-back seasons of 40-plus wins and Big Ten Tournament final appearances.
The repeat trip to the NCAA Tournament is a first for the program since 1985-86.
