The top four seeds have advanced to the Big Ten women’s basketball tournament semifinals.
After defeating Michigan State on Friday, No. 1 seed IU will face No. 4 Ohio State for the third time this season on Saturday. That game will tip at 2:30 p.m. ET at the Target Center in Minneapolis. It will air live on the Big Ten Network.
Ohio State holds a 24-6 overall record and a 12-6 Big Ten record, advancing to the Big Ten semifinals for the second straight season with an 81-79 win against fifth-seeded Michigan on Friday. IU knocked out the Buckeyes in last year’s semifinal round.
In the first match up of this season, Indiana won 78-65 on Jan. 26 in Bloomington in a top-six matchup. Ohio State led by four points at halftime but IU produced a dominant third quarter to pull away.
IU won again 83-59 on Feb. 13 in Columbus in the most recent meeting with the Buckeyes. Indiana led that one wire-to-wire.
No. 2 Iowa will face No. 3 Maryland on Saturday in the second game.
