Indiana women’s basketball will face Tennessee and Princeton in the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off, the program announced Tuesday.
The Hoosiers take on the Lady Volunteers in a nationally televised game on FOX at 6 p.m. ET on Thanksgiving Day, November 23. And they face Princeton at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, November 25. Both games are at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Fla.
Tennessee reached the Sweet 16 in last year’s NCAA Tournament at a No. 4 seed, before losing to No. 1 seed Virginia Tech. Princeton was the No. 10 seed in Indiana’s region, and won its first-round game over NC State. But the Tigers couldn’t join their men’s team in the Sweet 16, falling to No. 2 seed Utah.
This is the third time in four years that Indiana has faced Tennessee. The Hoosiers knocked off the Lady Vols last year, 79-67, in Knoxville. Tennessee defeated IU, 66-58, in Bloomington in December 2020. This will be the fourth overall meeting between the programs.
IU has recent history with Princeton as well. The Hoosiers outlasted the Tigers, 56-55, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in March 2022 in a memorable NCAA Tournament second round game. Princeton won the only other meeting against IU in 1978.
