Former Indiana standout Juwan Morgan inked a 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics the team announced on Monday afternoon.
In his first game with the team on Monday evening, Morgan did not play against Toronto and former IU teammate OG Anunoby.
Morgan has appeared in 51 NBA games in his three-year NBA career with the Utah Jazz (2019-21) and the Toronto Raptors (2021-22).
Most recently, Morgan appeared in 29 games with the Maine Celtics, Boston’s G-League affiliate, including 19 starts. He is averaging 12.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He has also charted nearly a steal and a block per game for the Celtics. Morgan is shooting 51.0% from the field and 34.2% from the 3-point line.
During his four-year stint with the Hoosiers, Morgan accumulated 1,374 career points to rank 25th in IU scoring lore. He is 10th in program history in career rebounds with 757 and eighth in blocked shots at 138 for his career.
Morgan was twice named to the All-Big Ten team. He was a second-team selection following his junior season and a third-team honoree the following season.
