Indiana’s backcourt will get a boost on Monday as the Hoosiers open Big Ten play against Minnesota.
Guard Kanaan Carlyle is not listed on the Big Ten’s availability report ahead of the contest in Bloomington.
Carlyle was a starter in IU’s first six games before he suffered an undisclosed injury in The Bahamas. Trey Galloway has been the starter for the Hoosiers in Carlyle’s absence.
Carlyle, a sophomore transfer from Stanford, has struggled on the offensive end thus far. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is averaging 4.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting just 27% from the field.
Meanwhile, starting center Oumar Ballo is listed as questionable on the report. Ballo appeared to suffer a lower leg injury late in Indiana’s Friday win over Miami (Ohio).
Reserve guard Gabe Cupps continues to be listed as out on the availability report. He has missed multiple games in a row.
Indiana and Minnesota tip at 6:30 p.m. ET Monday evening on the Big Ten Network.
