A former four-star linebacker from Ballard High School in Louisville, Casey had eight tackles in 2021 with one quarterback hurry for the Wildcats.
As a redshirt freshman in 2020, Casey appeared in all 11 games and finished with 20 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss. He recorded six tackles in a win over Mississippi State.
The 6-foot-3, 221-pound Casey played in three games while redshirting in 2019. He made his first career tackle in a 50-7 win over UT Martin.
A part of the class of 2019, Casey originally committed to Oregon before backing out of his commitment and choosing Kentucky.
Rivals.com ranked him as the No. 15 outside linebacker nationally in the 2019 class. When he signed, he was Kentucky’s highest-rated recruit in the class.
Casey should have three years of eligibility remaining. He is the ninth transfer portal addition for IU since the season ended.
