Indiana football’s next game at Michigan State in East Lansing will air at 3:30 p.m. ET on Peacock on Saturday, Nov. 2.
IU, ranked No. 13 going into Saturday’s win over Washington, matched its best start in program history with the 31-17 victory. The Hoosiers are 8-0 for the first time since 1967, and they’re tied with Oregon at 5-0 atop the Big Ten standings.
Michigan State sits 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the Big Ten. The Spartans opened the season with three straight wins over Florida Atlantic, Maryland, and Prairie View A&M, followed by three straight losses to Boston College, Ohio State, and Oregon. MSU then won its homecoming game over Iowa before falling at Michigan on Saturday.
This is the 71st time Indiana has faced Michigan State, and the 66th time they’ve played for the Old Brass Spittoon. The road team has won each of the last four matchups in this series, which Michigan State leads 50-18-2. This is the first attempt for both Curt Cignetti and Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith at winning the Spittoon.
