IU basketball forward Malik Reneau will return to the starting lineup on Sunday.
The junior forward missed five games the last few weeks with a right knee injury. He’s averaging 13.3 points and 5.7 rebounds on the season.
On his pregame radio spot, IU coach Mike Woodson said he wanted to matchup Reneau and Oumar Ballo against Maryland starters Julian Reese (13.7 ppg) and Derik Queen (15.6 ppg).
Reneau looked rusty off the bench his first game back from injury on Wednesday at Northwestern. He missed all six of his shots.
Woodson said Reneau has been working on his conditioning the past few days.
Indiana will keep Myles Rice, Anthony Leal, Mackenzie Mgbako and Oumar Ballo in the starting lineup.
Reneau replaces senior wing Luke Goode, who has averaged 18.5 points and shot 8-of-12 from three over the last two games.
Indiana and Maryland tip at Noon ET on CBS.
