According to public court records, the Monroe County prosecutor’s office has formally charged IU basketball’s Mackenzie Mgbako with one count of criminal trespass on Thursday. The Class A misdemeanor is typically punishable via fines.
The freshman forward from New Jersey was arrested early Sunday morning at a Bloomington Taco Bell. Mgbako was also initially charged with resisting law enforcement, but that charge does not appear in the public record.
Mgbako has entered a not guilty plea, and the cause is set for a pretrial conference on Dec. 4.
