Indiana linebacker Micah McFadden was named a preseason second-team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation, according to a release from the foundation on Thursday.
McFadden finished third in the Big Ten in 2020 with 10.5 tackles for loss last season and led the conference with six sacks. He led Indiana with 58 tackles, including 44 solo tackles, and he also recorded two interceptions. He was named first-team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media and third-team All-American by the Associated Press.
McFadden was one of eight Big Ten players named to the Walter Camp Foundation’s two All-America teams.
Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave and offensive lineman Thayer Munford, Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum and Minnesota running back Mohamed Ibrahim were named to the first-team offense. Ohio State defensive lineman Haskell Garrett and Northwestern defensive back Brandon Joseph were named to the second-team defense. Rutgers’ Aron Cruickshank was named to the second team as a kick returner.
