Ready to put your money where your mouth is on those Brad Stevens to IU rumors? Here is your chance.
BetOnline has published betting odds for who will be named the next men’s head basketball coach at Indiana University.
At the top of the board with 2/1 odds is Texas Tech head coach Chris Beard, who coincidentally is coaching an NCAA Tournament game today in Bloomington. The former Bob Knight assistant declined to discuss the possibility when asked earlier this week.
Baylor head coach Scott Drew is next with 3/1 odds, while former Michigan coach John Beilein is third at 4/1. There has not been much noise surrounding Drew and the IU job this week, while it is widely believed that Beilein is receptive to discussing job opportunities.
Also on the board for wagers with reasonable odds are Oregon coach Dana Altman (11/2), former Ohio State coach Thad Matta (13/2), and former IU player and current Michigan State assistant Dane Fife (7/1).
If fans are convinced by the smoke surrounding Stevens’ name, a bet on the Celtics head coach would pay a nice return right now if he ended up landing the job. Like former IU great Calbert Cheaney, Stevens is at 25/1.
Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan rounds out the published odds at 33/1.
The Complete Odds:
Chris Beard: 2/1
Scott Drew: 3/1
John Beilein: 4/1
Dana Altman: 11/2
Thad Matta: 13/2
Dane Fife: 7/1
Brad Stevens: 25/1
Calbert Cheaney: 25/1
Billy Donovan: 33/1
