A former high-profile Michigan State recruit will reportedly be transferring to Indiana to join his brother.
Matt Zenitz of 247Sports is reporting former four-star defensive end Andrew Depaepe will transfer to the Hoosiers.
Depaepe is a former top-125 prospect in the 2023 class and was one of the top recruits former MSU head coach Mel Tucker signed during three-plus years.
The 6-foot-5 and 255-pound DePaepe played 11 snaps on defense vs. Washington in Week 3 in his collegiate debut and lone action of the season for the Spartans.
He enrolled for the spring semester and competed in spring practice for the Spartans. DePaepe will have four years of eligibility remaining.
DePaepe was a consensus four-star prospect (247Sports, On3, Rivals, ESPN). The Bettendorf, Iowa product was named a third-team all-state selection by the Iowa Prep Sportswriters as a junior with 14.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
DePaepe’s brother William is a 3-star recruit in Indiana’s class of 2024. He is also a defensive end.
The DePaepe brothers will join an IU edge/outside linebacker group that includes Lanell Carr Jr., Jacob Mangum-Farrar, Mikael Kamara, Venson Sneed Jr., Ta’Derius Collins, and Daniel Ndukwe.
