National college basketball analyst Jeff Goodman shared the following tidbits from IU basketball’s Pro Day.
Goodman cited an NBA executive in attendance as his source:
“One NBA Executive after watching Indiana pro day yesterday:
Kel’el Ware didn’t participate due to a shoulder injury. “He has a lot to prove this year – especially with his motor. He’s obviously talented, and someone will probably take him in the first round due to his upside.”
On Mackenzie Mgbako: “He shot it well, plays hard and has good size. He shot it very well from 3. I worry about his athleticism, but he also has a chance to be a first-round pick.”
On Malik Reneau: “Good passer, can score inside. He’ll be a good player for them. He’s gotten better and plays hard.”
On Xavier Johnson: “He looked like himself. My question is whether Indiana had another ball handler to help him.””
