It is a name that needs no introduction at this point. Hoosier fans have known about him since he was a freshman at Center Grove High School. Some affectionately refer to him simply as “TJD”.
In connection with this weekend’s Hoosier Hysteria, Greenwood, Indiana native Trayce Jackson-Davis is in Bloomington for his official visit.

Simply put — Indiana needs to win this recruiting battle — and we have yet to find anyone who is predicting that he will go elsewhere. This is a big weekend for the IU coaching staff to close the deal.
The winner of a gold medal this summer, Jackson-Davis now appears on track to win Indiana’s Mr Basketball award for his senior season in high school.
Jackson-Davis should be the cornerstone of what is on track to be a second consecutive solid recruiting class for Archie Miller, once again with a strong in-state flavor.
With his final official visit coming up next weekend at Michigan State, we expect a decision to be announced in October. At this point we believe it is down to the Hoosiers and the Spartans, although there are still four schools technically in the mix.
Below is our profile on Jackson-Davis, with all the essential information that you need to know, plus recent video highlights, interviews, and all of The Daily Hoosier’s coverage.

On where things stand with Indiana:
“They’re really close to home. They’ve definitely been recruiting me the hardest … some other schools have also, but coach O (Tom Ostrom) calls almost every day. They’re definitely there. They’re recruiting me hard and I appreciate that.”
