Former IU basketball one-and-done star Romeo Langford has another opportunity lined up this summer.
The New Albany, Ind. product appeared on the Philadelphia 76ers summer league roster released today.
Langford is listed by Philadelphia at 6-foot-5 and 216 pounds.
Now 24, Langford most recently played for the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League, where he appeared in 17 games in 2023-24 and averaged 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 46.1 percent overall and 37.9 percent from three.
Langford was drafted 14th overall by the Celtics in 2019. He has played in the NBA over parts of four seasons with Boston and San Antonio from 2019-20 to 2022-23. Over his four-year NBA career, he posted 4.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists while shooting 43 percent from the floor and 28 percent from three.
In 2022-23 with the Spurs, Langford averaged a career-best 6.9 points on 46.7 percent shooting from the field, along with 2.7 boards, and 1.2 assists in 43 games (21 starts). But he was waived by the Utah Jazz just before the start of last season, and landed with their G League franchise.
Langford played one season at Indiana (2018-19), where he ranked first among freshmen in the conference and fifth nationally with 16.5 points per contest.
Following his sole collegiate season, Langford was named to the 2018-19 All-Big Ten Second Team and All-Big Ten Freshman Team.
