There aren’t many names left on the board for Indiana when it comes to the transfer portal.
One of their main prospects was formally crossed off the list Tuesday when Monmouth center Nikita Konstantynovskyi announced he’s headed to Notre Dame.
Indiana had multiple discussions with the 6-foot-10 Konstantynovskyi regarded their opportunity to back up Oumar Ballo at center.
Another name that surfaced this week is UT Martin 6-foot-9 forward Issa Muhammad. The Atlanta, Ga. product averaged 11.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game last season for the Skyhawks.
The Daily Hoosier can confirm there has been contact Muhammad, although it isn’t clear how recent it was and whether it is still ongoing. We’ll probe further if warranted.
Bellarmine transfer big man Langdon Hatton, who we’ve mentioned here several times, continues to be the main player in the transfer portal to watch at this time as it relates to Indiana.
As of mid-afternoon on Tuesday, IU still has two open scholarships available for the 2024-25 season. It is possible they’ll head into the summer with one of those slots still open.
Indiana’s new and returning players are scheduled to begin arriving in Bloomington in late May and early June for summer workouts.
