It has been a busy week for college basketball recruiting both on campus at Indiana and beyond.
While the Hoosiers held their team camp in Bloomington over the weekend, there were major events at the national level including the NBA Top 100 Camp, USA Basketball’s U19 National Team tryouts, and much more.
Several class of 2020 IU recruiting targets updated their recruitments at these events.
HASSAN DIARRA
Diarra participated in the NBA Top 100 Camp. He was described as one of the top players there — specifically for his play on both ends of the floor.
The 6-foot-3 New York native named Indiana as one of the five schools that is serious about him right now.
Prep Circuit reported that Diarra said this about IU:
“We are staying in contact, Coach Miller and I have a good relationship so far,” he said. “I’m looking to take a visit there maybe during the school year or when it starts.”
DJ STEWARD
Prep Hoops caught up with Steward, and the Chicago based guard indicated that a visit to IU is on the radar:
“Three schools Steward mentioned he would like to visit in June are Louisville, Indiana, and Illinois.”
The 6-foot-4 Steward was a stand out at the NBA Top 100 camp, as he continued his strong play that has catapulted him into the top 40 nationally.
2020 PG DJ Steward (@swipasnipa) has been making plays all week here in Virginia. Whether he is scoring the ball or creating plays for others, he has certainly been one of the best guards here doing what he does best. Averaged 24.1 PPG this year in the EYBL @nikemeanstreets.

RJ DAVIS
The 4-star point guard was named to the all-tournament team at the NBPA Top 100 camp at the University of Virginia on Saturday.
He told 247Sports ($) that he is hearing a lot from IU, but will the Hoosiers get a visit?
The 6-foot Davis told Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will be making several visits this summer, including his first official.
PSN is told that Davis will be making an unofficial visit to Pitt early in July. The exact dates haven’t been confirmed yet.
Davis also has a few other trips scheduled: Marquette: June 19 (unofficial), Georgetown: June 26-27 (official), UCLA: Sometime in July (unofficial).
ZACH LOVEDAY
The 4-star Loveday told 247Sports ($) that he sees potential in Bloomington.
“I think I would fit in really well with them and their offense. Indiana is a basketball state, and it is a basketball school, and I like that.”
The Ohio native took an unofficial visit to IU last month.
Andrew Slater reported this on the 7-foot Loveday:
7’ 4⭐️Zach Loveday’20 @ZachLoveday99 of @WILDCATselect & @HuntingtonPrep cited Baylor, Indiana, Ohio State, Maryland (most recent offer), Purdue, & Michigan as doing a good job of prioritizing him. pic.twitter.com/IqieP7xspX

DAWSON GARCIA
Garcia is a 6-foot-10 big man with a versatile inside out game that has caught the attention of blue bloods like Duke and Kentucky.
The Minnesota native spoke at the NBA Top 100 Camp about that and mentioned his impressions of IU here:
TERRENCE CLARKE
Five-star Clarke is class of 2021 but it has routinely been mentioned that he might reclassify into the class of 2020.
The 6-foot-7 guard highlighted Indiana’s training program ($) as something that stood out in a recent interview. He has indicated to multiple recruiting services that he may visit Bloomington again.
Indiana was quick to make contact with the Boston product when permitted by the NCAA beginning on June 15.
Since then, Duke, Indiana, Georgia, Ohio State, have also reached out to five-star sophomore Terrence Clarke, he told @Stockrisers. https://t.co/66i8zSkHqJ

CALEB LOVE
In at least one instance it was notable that IU was not mentioned. 2020 4-star point guard Caleb Love has been a top target for Indiana in the class, but the Hoosiers were not discussed in this interview ($) with Rivals.
Perhaps it was just a matter of the St. Louis native taking the questions that he was asked, but then, Indiana wasn’t high enough on the radar to warrant a question. As we’ve mentioned in prior updates on Love, Kansas and North Carolina have entered the fray, and this one could be fading away from IU.
